Bluray Tuesday: Featuring Serial Mom, Brain Damage and Psycho (1998)

May 9th 2017

Our favorite day of the week has arrived. Light on the new releases today but definitely some collection worthy pickups. Scream Factory releases Serial Mom as apart of their collector's edition line with new bonus features. Serial Mom is a must own for me, I love this film. Scream Factory also releases 1998's Psycho starring Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates. Psycho 98' is a shot for shot remake of the classic original. Arrow Video this week releases Brain Damage for the first time on bluray and one I haven't heard of but it looks interesting. Fifty Shades of Grey fans can add Fifty Shades Darker to their collection today. Best Buy will carry exclusive steelbook packaging for this sequel. Target will carry not one but two exclusives for Fifty Shades, the first being a bonus disc and the second for a few bucks more includes a bonus disc as well as a gift set. Tall Men rounds out this small release week. Another one that caught my eye and may blind buy in the near future. So what will you be buying, renting or skipping this week? Let us know in the Comments. Until next week!

Beverly (Turner) is the perfect happy homemaker. Along with her doting husband Eugene (Sam Waterston) and two children, Misty (Ricki Lake) and Chip (Matthew Lillard), she lives a life straight out of Good Housekeeping. But this nuclear family just might explode when Beverly's fascination with serial killers collides with her ever-so-proper code of ethics – transforming her from middle class mom to mass murderer! Soon, the bodies begin to pile up… and suburbia faces a horror even worse than wearing white after Labor Day.
